Working with the contractor to break down the schedule into achievable milestones, regular formal reviews of the project status, and focused attention on recovery schedules when necessary are all part of the MA&A way.   • Direct, clear and concise communications with consultants is critical to effectively manage their output. Setting priorities to construction drawing areas, long lead items, submittals, and RFI’s while allowing the design team enough time to properly respond ensures harmony between what the project needs to continue to move forward and the design. Reviewing and formally discussing design and scope creep are also critical factors to ensure the design conforms to cost model.
